Ayurveda is an ancient system of medicine, that originated in Indian subcontinent thousands of years ago. This holistic medical science literally means "knowledge of life" (Ayur = life, Veda = knowledge). It is important to understand the fundamental difference between Ayurveda and modern medicine.
